Learn basic skills of watercolor in a casual and supportive environment. We will study drawing and design, watercolor techniques, and color. This course is for beginners and intermediate students who want to practice the basics of watercolor painting.

Notice

Please read:  Supply List: A sketchbook and pencil; Palette: large covered palette such as a John Pike; Brushes: 1” flat, #12, #8, #6 rounds made for watercolor; Colors: Try to purchase tubes of paint that are better than student grade: (such as Graham, Winsor Newton or Daniel Smith) in cadmium red, alizarin crimson, cobalt, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, viridian (if you have other colors, just make sure you have a red, blue and yellow); Paper: 140# cold press sheets, block, or pad. Student grade paper will not work as well. Arches, Canson are 2 good brands. You can order supplies at art supply stores online: Dick Blick, Cheap Joes Art supplies, Quality Art.
