The R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) system is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. This course is an intensive introduction to a self-defense system that will teach women how to protect themselves and possibly even save their lives! The classes provide educational opportunities for participants to create a safer future for themselves by providing short term training. Students will be taught information about crime awareness, prevention, risk reduction, avoidance strategies and easy-to-learn self-defense techniques. Come and be taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors and gain the experience you may need to prepare for life’s challenges. A reference book, Basic Physical Defense for Women, the participant manual for the course, will be available for all students. NOTE: At the conclusion of the course, students will participate in a simulation activity to test their skills and knowledge of the material covered in the class. This event will be held on a day or evening separate from the dates listed above. The instructors will notify class members of the date, time, and location of this activity. Other sessions of this class may be offered if enough interest is shown.
