Prepare for a career as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).

The course includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training in a mock clinical setting. Topics covered include anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, medical terminology related to phlebotomy, infection control and safety procedures, patient identification and communication skills, types of blood collection equipment and their uses, venipuncture techniques, capillary puncture techniques, special considerations for pediatric and geriatric patients, handling and processing of blood specimens, and quality control and assurance in phlebotomy.
Course material will be delivered through class lecture, lab, and online assignments.
