This class will be held at the Freeman Park in Idaho Falls. This course is 6 weeks long. The schedule has 7 weeks planned with a built-in makeup date if class is canceled due to inclement weather. The instructor will cancel class due to weather conditions if necessary.
Students will need to bring your own supplies:
- Standing Easel (or something equivalent to hold canvas)
- Palette - flat (to mix the colors), disposable, or wooden, or glass or plexiglass. Please, do not use palette for watercolor.
- Small sketch book & Pencil
- Brushes #4, #10 & #14
- Paint Colors: titanium white (zinc white makes your painting yellow), cadmium yellow, cadmium red, phthalo blue, ultramarine.
- Metal painting knife
- Paint thinner
- Small cup/container with lid for paint thinner to clean up the brushes
- Linseed oil
- Small cup/container with lid for linseed oil
- Rags or paper towels
- Trash bag
- Canvases or canvas boards (8x10; 9x12; 11x14)
- Water (for drinking, don't get dehydrated while outside!)
- Chair (optional)
