Develop foundational skills to treat the sick or injured patient using basic emergency medical equipment. This course meets Idaho and national registry standards for obtaining the Emergency Medical Technician license.
The EMT Basic program includes online classroom content, in-person practical skills instruction and clinical time that all meet State of Idaho and National Registry requirements for testing for an EMT-B license. This course is required to work as an emergency medical services (EMS) provider in an ambulance or other emergency care settings.
Prerequisites include: 5 online courses through Idaho EMS and FEMA (8.5 hours in total) - these are provided at no cost, required completed clear background check; required immunizations and Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Medical Terminology is strongly recommended to help ensure student success.
Course fee includes E-book, required supplies, insurance and practical skills testing fees.
