IV Therapy for CMA

This introductory course for IV medication administration is designed and has been approved through the AAMA for 15 Clinical CEU's; for Certified Medical Assistants only.  Along with IV administration theory, students will learn advanced pharmacology math skills, IV therapy history, correct aseptic technique, and other information necessary to competently perform and understand all aspects of IV medication administration. Students will display mastery of initiation, maintenance and monitoring of short-term IV infusions, via paper/pencil test, simulated skills, demonstration, and clinical practice. This course is not suitable for students with prior knowledge of and experience with IV therapy.
