Provides the beginning dental assistant with a background and knowledge in the areas of history of dentistry, dental terminology, anatomy, cavity classifacation, charting, instrumentation, procedures, radiology, local anesthesia, infection control, sterilization, dental specialties, and ethics/ jurisprudence. There are no prerequisites for this course and no credit hours are earned. Upon passing the course, students will recive a certificate of completion.
